With every page comes yet another powerful promise and by the time you're done, you are so moved and so aware of your parental responsibility that you will never be the same again. I think every parent with young kids should sign this "contract of love and trust" as the author calls it and give it to each of their kids. This is the kind of book that you want to keep forever but be careful; some day when your child is grown and you're not honoring your promises, he or she will probably open a page in the book and say "…but you promised"
